Oil on Canvas, Textiles on Mannequin

In creating "Nothing Sits Quite the Same," | Nico explored the aesthetic and philosophical viewpoints of absurdism, particularly through the lens of fashion. Concentrated on a specific belief within absurdism: the idea that everything in the universe is random, lacking inherent meaning or order, Nico worked to translate this concept into the design of physical clothing, further expressing the pairing of the ‘absurd space’ in which a painting exists through an oil painting that utilizes spatial compression and physical absurdity, accompanied by a physical mannequin to evoke the absurd aesthetic.
